Above all things, I strive for the absolute and perfect vision of what I am. Parallel to this, I seek to destroy the illusions of what I think I am so that I may discern what I actually am. I seek to live the life most true to my self, but before I can do that I must wade through the myriad paradoxes and webs of ego and illusion. I agree with Emerson when he said that "consistency is the hobgoblin of the mind", expect me to contradict myself often, for I am an ever growing and evolving creature, consistency for the sake of itself is spiritual asphyxiation, conflict and innovation are the oxygen of the soul. Before all things it could be said I am a spiritual person, although perhaps there is no word that I believe works perfectly to describe it. However, although chiefly spiritual at the core, I extend that base into every other aspect of the world. As such, this blog can be expected to cover many subjects, from the material to the transcendental.

Aside from the distant intangibles, however, a few personal details wouldn't hurt. I'm a queer(I do so despise the term gay, it carries far to much social baggage. For the sake of clarity, it could be said that I am effectively homosexual, although I also find that word distasteful, due to its distinctly clinical tone), recognize myself as male (however, I consider myself an androgyne in the mental sense, male/female is merely a state of physical being, one I am quite content with, I will not however recognize the arbitrary distinctions implied by the man/woman mental-behavioral divide), and currently live in Eastern Tennessee (It has its good and bad points, the alternative community is very close, if small). If you haven't already noticed I like using parenthesis. On that note, don't expect flawless grammar and structure on this blog. Language is a tool, not an end; it should be modified as needed. The only important thing is getting the point across, and doing whatever is necessary to do it.
